KEY INFORMATION

We want you to come and have a fabulous day out, with a little bit of planning we know our Fete will be the highlight of your calendar!

 ACCOMMODATION

The Wānaka Fete is held at the Show Grounds in the heart of Wānaka township and there are many accommodation options for you to choose from. For accommodation we suggest you book early as Wānaka is a busy tourism centre.

ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS

There is accessible parking available on the day; this is located next to the A&P Society Pavillion, enter the grounds and follow the driveway past the rugby club to the bus and mobility carparking. Please display your mobility parking permit and our team will assist you to find a park nice and close to the entrance.

The site is flat and easily accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooter and prams. There will be accessible toilets available on site also.

We do not have designated a changing a feeding area for mothers but our crew includes 5 little people so come and see us at headquarters if you would like a comfy seat and some privacy for you and your little one- we see you! There’s most likely some packets of baby wipes and some potato stix in our possession too if you’re caught out!

ANIMALS

Only assistance animals are permitted on the grounds during the Wanaka Fete.

EFTPOS

We will have EFTPOS facilities on site, however bringing cash will make your life much easier. Withdrawals may be subject to a transaction fee and queues are likely to form during busy times.

getting to the fete

Getting into and leaving the fete can be busy, make sure you have planned your journeys to ensure they are as easy as possible. Even better, take advantage of our central location and bring your bike or walk from your accommodation to and from the Fete.

Wanaka has a taxi service available that you can make your own arrangements with.

COME PREPARED

We all hope for a fine day to enjoy the Fete, but due to the event being outside, please don’t forget to prepare for the conditions.
Be sure to bring your sunblock, hat and sunnies (hopefully you wont need your brolly but maybe put it in just in case). Plenty of water is also advised.

FOOD AND DRINK

We have a great selection of food and drink stalls providing a varied selection of scrummy eats and refreshments on the day. However, you are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy instead.

We do not allow alcohol to be brought onto the site, however we will have our splendid licensed drink providers available should you want a tipple on fete day.
