We want you to come and have a fabulous day out, with a little bit of planning we know our Fete will be the highlight of your calendar!
ACCOMMODATION
The Wānaka Fete is held at the Show Grounds in the heart of Wānaka township and there are many accommodation options for you to choose from. For accommodation we suggest you book early as Wānaka is a busy tourism centre.
ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS
There is accessible parking available on the day; this is located next to the A&P Society Pavilion, enter the grounds and follow the driveway past the rugby club to the bus and mobility car parking. Please display your mobility parking permit and our team will assist you to find a park nice and close to the entrance.
The site is flat and easily accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and prams. There will be accessible toilets available on site also.
We have a designated changing and feeding area for parents next to the A&P Pavilion by Gate 2. If you would like a comfy seat and privacy for you and your little one, please utilize the space thanks to Friends Of Mount Aspiring College.
ANIMALS
Only assistance animals are permitted on the grounds during the Wanaka Fete.
EFTPOS
We will have EFTPOS facilities on site, however bringing cash will make your life much easier. Withdrawals may be subject to a transaction fee and queues are likely to form during busy times.
GETTING TO & FROM THE FETE
Getting into and leaving the fete can be busy, make sure you have planned your journeys to ensure they are as easy as possible. Even better, take advantage of our central location and bring your bike or walk from your accommodation to and from the Fete. On fete day visit our HQ tent located by gate 1 if you would like assistance arranging a ride home.

COME PREPARED
We all hope for a fine day to enjoy the Fete, but due to the event being outside, please don’t forget to prepare for the conditions.
Be sure to bring your sunblock, hat and sunnies (hopefully you wont need your brolly but maybe put it in just in case). Plenty of water is also advised.
FOOD AND DRINK
We have a great selection of food and drink stalls providing a varied selection of scrummy eats and refreshments on the day. However, you are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy instead.
We do not allow alcohol to be brought onto the site, however we will have our splendid licensed drink providers available should you want a tipple on fete day.

Tickets will be available on the gate on the day if not all been sold out during pre-sales prior to fete day.
Children under 15 years old do not require a ticket.

PARKING:
Parking at the Showgrounds is very limited.
Parking will be located on Stone Street (opposite the Medical Centre) and a park-and-ride option will be available.
There are several public parking areas around the showgrounds, usual time limits apply.
We ask that people respect the area surrounding the grounds and do not park on the grass areas.
